Holice Powell was opened in 1950. On Friday, November 7, wear 50s attire to hel us celebrate!
World Kindness Day is November 13. Please wear red, bring 1 can of cat or dog food, and be kind to everyone you see.
Grades 3-5 will present our annual Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11, at 1:30. We invite all veterans to join us for the program. We'd also love it if you'd fill out the form either by clicking the link or scanning the QR code so we can honor you on this day.

Thanksgiving Lunch RSVP forms will go home today with grades 1, 3, and 5. These need to be returned by Monday, November 10.

Choctaw blanket order forms will go home in student folders on Monday, October 27. These will be perfect for those chilly nights at home or sporting events when you're in the stands.
Orders will be taken through Friday, November 7. We will also sell them at our 75th Anniversary Open House on Sunday, November 9, from 2:00-4:00 P.M.
Students who sell two or more blankets earn an inflatable fun party!

Today, October 2, we celebrate Ms. Barbara and Ms. Rhonda, our awesome school custodians. They work so hard to ensure a safe, clean school and go above and beyond to Holice Powell. We are proud to call them ours!
Third grade had an electric time at Dyersburg Electric System today. They taught about electrical safety, conductors and insulators, and how to avoid electrical hazards. Thank you, DES, for educating our students on how to be safe around electricity and showing them a glimpse of what you do each day.
On September 25 students need to wear blue or green. We will be focusing on the traits of the House of Reveur and the House of Isibindi. On Thursday and Friday we will do an activity to demonstrate individual dreams and bravery.
