Today, October 2, we celebrate Ms. Barbara and Ms. Rhonda, our awesome school custodians. They work so hard to ensure a safe, clean school and go above and beyond to Holice Powell. We are proud to call them ours!
Third grade had an electric time at Dyersburg Electric System today. They taught about electrical safety, conductors and insulators, and how to avoid electrical hazards. Thank you, DES, for educating our students on how to be safe around electricity and showing them a glimpse of what you do each day.
On September 25 students need to wear blue or green. We will be focusing on the traits of the House of Reveur and the House of Isibindi. On Thursday and Friday we will do an activity to demonstrate individual dreams and bravery.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Dyer County Schools is recognizing this important cause, and is having two special attire days. We would love to see all of Holice Powell participate.

Our annual Dyersburg Electric System's t-shirt design contest is underway. Students can chose the shirt color and one color for the design. Designs are due by September4. Templates have gone home with students.
