School will be in session on Friday, September 11 for ALL Dyer County students.
T-Shirt Contest: Each year, Dyersburg Electric purchases T-shirts for the students and staff. Similar to last year, the students have been asked to design the T-shirt again this year. One student’s design will be picked for the 2020-2021 school year. Designs are limited to one color, and designs must be submitted to their teacher by Friday, September 25, 2020. We cannot wait to see all the students’ designs!

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent -teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, September 1, from 3:30 - 6:30. Due to Covid-19 procedures, conferences will look much different this year. Parents will be contacted by their child’s teacher regarding conferences, which are by appointment only. Most conferences will be held over the phone, but if an in-person conference must be scheduled, please note the following protocol:
*Appointments only
*Only one parent/adult per conference
*Temperatures will be taken
*Masks are encouraged
*Choctaw Academy students will be contacted by the Choctaw Academy teacher regarding progress reports and conferences. Choctaw Academy students do not need to attend parent-teacher conferences at Holice Powell.

Parents we are excited to share that you can be expecting a phone call in the next few days from your child’s homeroom teacher! If you haven’t heard from someone by next Thursday please call the school.
The Dyer County School System plans to release two Frequently Asked Questions documents early next week. One document will answer questions about school reopening and the other document will be specific to Choctaw Academy. If you have a question that might need to be included in either of these documents, please email that question to dcreopening@dyercs .net.
All Dyer County Schools will hold an early registration on Tuesday, July 14 from 9:00am-1:00pm. This is for students new to our system. Please bring the following documents: certified birth certificate, social security number, proof of residency, and the student's last report card.

The last day to pick up student belongings will be June 17 from 9:00-1:00.
Upcoming 6th grade families: Fifth grade families, if your child is interested in band at Three Oaks please fill out the Google Form below. If you have any questions contact Mr. Hendren.
Students will have to have a school sports physical for band in order to participate in outdoor, after-school, and off-campus band activities. One sports physical for the school year is good for EVERY sport/ band that the student participates in that school year. More details to follow on sports physicals. Middle school students can be in band and still play sports, cheer, or dance.

Dear HPS Families,
Due to the Governor's Stay at Home Order, we have made the very tough decision to cancel our Easter Egg Hunt Parade. Instead of a parade, we would love for you to place your decorated eggs on the side windows of your car so we can see them as you come through the line at school to pick up breakfasts and lunches on Thursday, April 9 from 10:30 -12:30. You can also can pick up an academic packet on Thursday if you did not make it by the school on Monday.
