Seventh-grade students at Northview Middle School recently attended DPA's Powwow as part of their studies in forensic anthropology and early North American history!
Students have been reading about the experiences of early settlers and their interactions with Native Americans. The field trip provided an opportunity to learn more about Native American culture and traditions while connecting their classroom lessons to a real-world experience.
Despite the heat, it was a great day of learning!
